For nearly two decades, civil rights attorney Areva Martin has challenged systems that underestimate human potential. As founder and president of Special Needs Network, she has built a career around disability rights, education, workforce development and expanding access to opportunity.
Now Martin is bringing that same civil rights lens to one of the defining questions of our time: Who will help build the future of artificial intelligence, and who will be left behind?
Through LA Inclusive, Martin is making the case that neurodivergent talent should not be viewed simply as a diversity initiative or an untapped labor pool. Neurodivergent workers can be a competitive advantage for companies prepared to recognize different ways of thinking, solving problems and innovating.
For Martin, that belief is personal.
